1. COACHES - Please watch the new USL youth rules video before you attend a JGLA "Rules Interpretation" meeting! They can be viewed at:


Rember - all of the rules meetings are listed on the JGLA calendar. If you can't make the one for your conference you are welcome to attend another!

2. IT'S TEAM REGISTRATION TIME! The 2017 season is right around the corner!


Registration is open for the 2017 season is open.  Payment is $125 per team

Coaches be sure to register yourselves,  make your information public so others can contact you, and attach yourself to your town program, and include your USL number in order for us to print your JGLA coaches card.  This has to be done even if it was completed last year.


 AS PER USL rules,

All travel 7/8 teams will be modified checking 

Select team will be allowed for full checking at the 7/8 level.


Please be sure to also email Laura McCarthy at   to make sure you are in the arbiter correctly as select or travel!!


3/4 levels:  7 V 7 Goalie does not count as a player.

3. Level One Coach Clinics Now Posted on the JGLA calendar...

The Level 1 Clinic brings the Level 1 online course to life through hands-on training facilitated by US Lacrosse-certified trainers. The curriculum is designed to introduce coaches to the responsibilities and philosophies of coaching and how to provide a safe and athlete-centered environment that emphasizes positive growth and sportsmanship. You’ll acquire the tools to teach rules, basic individual skills and basic team concepts to beginning players of all ages. This baseline training is relevant for all lacrosse coaches, regardless of experience. Coaches must complete a Level 1 clinic to attain Level 1 certification. List price for clinics is $75 in advance or $90 within 10 days of a clinic. Check with your local chapter or league for any discounts or subsidies prior to registering. Sign up at US Lacrosse.

We can't tell you how many parents want to learn the game but don't know where to go for information. In addition to having some great resources, the JGLA site also has links directly to US Lacrosse videos and documents geared specifically for parent/player education!




THANK YOU to all of the volunteers, coaches and players who made the 2016 JGLA Jamboree a huge success! It was day filled with spirited play, new friendships and developing even more of a "love of the game!"
